Welcome

I’m so glad to go live with this blog and share some guidance, tips, tricks, and opinions within the WordPress ecosystem.

It’s 2025, and good old WP seems to power around 800 million websites around the world!

What a number. That’s around half of all the websites in the world.

And if you’re reading this blog, your website is probably among those.

After all, it’s a fifty-fifty chance.

Why is WordPress so popular?

It’s because of us, of course, the lovely WP community.

And because it’s open-source and we can tweak it however we like it. We do it all of the time!

The abundance of themes and plugins comes from our desire to experiment and build on top of the CMS that proved most robust.

This month, on May 27th, there will be 22 candles on WP’s birthday cake.

And even if it stops being developed, which will never happen, there will be WordPress websites as long as there are websites on this internet of ours.

It’s a perfect example of how far an open-source project can go.

Whatever you need for your website, there’s a great chance that someone has already written a plugin to help you with that.

And with so many WP themes out there, if you can’t find one that looks good enough, the problem is with you.

But guess what - you can always hire a designer or developer to adapt or create your perfect version of WordPress.

That’s what makes WP so great, the fusion of an open CMS project and us, the people who use it.

Everything comes with a cost, and WP is not an exception

The popularity of WordPress is a double-edged sword.

When something is used so much, it attracts attention from all parties, and hackers and spammers can’t help but constantly look into breaking in.

After all, imagine the power that comes with having access to half of the websites on the planet!

WP is used everywhere, from small businesses to large corporations, banks, hospitals, schools, and government websites.

That’s why good people constantly improve the WP project, as well as themes and plugins all the time.

However, no use from the improvements if your website isn’t getting updated regularly.

Furthermore, some updates may need urgent action from your side.

And sometimes there can be an error, a hosting issue, or simply a need to improve the posture of your website.

That’s what this website and my services are for.
