Change the domain of your WordPress website and implement proper redirects.
It’s not something you do often, but sometimes you may decide to change the domain name/URL of your WordPress website.
Maybe you built a website on a test/staging domain and now need to push it live?
Or did you decide to rebrand your website and change the domain along the way?
Whatever the reason, you want it done so that the WordPress database is updated properly, while making sure that you have correct 301 redirects in place.
The 301 redirects will make sure that your link juice is preserved, and old customers won’t get confused when they try accessing your old domain.
If you ask me, it’s a simple thing to do.
But if you don’t have technical knowledge or don’t feel comfortable changing the domain of your WordPress website, maybe you can outsource it to a WordPress migration expert.
Have a piece of mind and time to focus on what you’re best at!
